The start of election day has shown that the IEC is biased against Black First Land First (BLF). Our party agents were denied entry inro the voting station in Ward 109 in Alexandra. Also, the IEC has ommitted the name of the BLF ward councillor candidate in ward 21 Ethekwini Metro. The IEC had issued a certificate for the BLF candidate but ommitted her name on the ballot.
BLF calls for a by-election in this ward. It’s not BLF’s fault that our candidate is not on the ballot.
The IEC must not treat BLF as some third rate citizen.
The LGE 2021 is not credible, free and fair.
