Yesterday (30 September 2015) the Deputy Public Protector Adv. Kevin Malunga told SABC news programme Question Time that he will follow up on the BLF inquiry into the theft of R26 Billion first discovered by the British company CIEX. The Deputy Public Protector promised a response today. Also, the Public Protector herself acknowledged on Twitter that the investigation on the matter had been “derailed”. However, it is now back on track and shall “soon” be completed. BLF has written two letters to the office of the Public Protector with no acknowledgement or response.

BLF welcomes the new commitment displayed by the office of the Public Protector to address this matter urgently.

BLF looks forward to hearing from the office of the Public Protector today.

  1. As iam a south african I want to comment on saying that the system that is used to run the country is corrupt its self.all we need as a citizenship is to see sectors belong. To government and leave the system of tenders because only who have money to get tenders.and more services are not complete but money is gone
